Where in Scotland should I go on holiday?

Where do you recommend? I'd like a place that's not a big city, but still has stuff to do (restaurants, pubs, etc) as well as beautiful scenery. Thanks for your help.

Have you been up through the Highlands?

The drive up to Inverness is beautiful, and Inverness isn't too big a city and has great pubs/restaurants.  It's also not far from Drumnadrochit and the Loch Ness area, which is quiet and very scenic.
