  1. I got married in a small town in Northern Spain in Asturias. This is where my family lives. The weather in the North can be unpredictable but in the summer when the sun is out - it is breath taking - mountains and ocean and green everywhere. Since I have family there my circumstances made planning etc much easier. But my husbands entire family had never even left the US before so it was a challenge getting them to our small little town! Everyone stayed in quaint casa rurales (equivalent to a B&B).

If you have more questions about this location (or detail) you can email me. I'd be happy to tell you more.

    Good luck!

  2. Hi I was married in Spain and it is more difficult than it seems also my wife is Spanish which never made it easy make sure that wherever you decide that all the papers are in order .Toledo is a beautiful city also Santiago de Compastella for the wedding reception the hoteles Paradores are totally outstanding and in most cities also remember that in some parts of Spain between June and September the temprature can be anywere between 30 and 40to45 c so you shuold take that in to consideration hope this helps and Spain is a wonderful friendly country I have lived here for over 10 years if you do decide Iam sure it will be perfect Good luck.

  3. Alarcon, .  Beautiful location and QUIET. Beautiful Castle Parador. Check out the photos.

  4. I was in Ronda on a Saturday, and you could barely move without bumping into another bride.  It's a small town, and they could NOT have been all local!!  It's an absolutely beautiful town with breathtaking views and lots of history, so I can totally understand why everyone wants to get married there.

I can't discount Sevilla, though.  The older Princess of Spain got married there, and it's one of the most romantic cities I know of.  It, also, would have a large variety of venues for the party.

  5. Salamanca in the Old Cathedral or the Old University.
