Where in Sydney, Australia can I grill my own steak at a restaurant?

  3. My local does this - it's called The Newington and you can choose steak or fish to BBQ. It's cheap to and you get salad with it. On Sundays they have Trivia which is also fun. http://www.eatability.com.au/au/sydney/n...

    It's in Petersham which is about 10 minutes drive from the middle of the city.

    Phillips Foote is in the Rocks area which is at the end of George St. It is one of the first pubs on the left just under the expressway overpass. It is a bit touristy though. If you want to experience true aussie culture I would recommend either the Mean Fiddler as suggested (which is a huge hike from the city in the western suburbs, but worth it) or hop on a bus to The Newington as suggested.

  5. The best place that was voted the #1 bar is The Mean Fiddler.  It's a huge bar and yes you can grill your own steak or chicken.

  6. It's in the down town area, but I can't remember the name of it. I was there last year. You pick out your side dishes and you bread and drinks, then you grill you own meat. They get your choices of steak, ribs, and I think chicken. Then the sign tells you exactly how long you grill it to get the doneness you want. It was realy good and the prices were not bad at all. A good way to save a little money.

    Another really good place to go to cook your own steak and is very popular is "The Oaks Hotel"  on the North Shore Military Rd Neutral Bay Sydney.
