I just turned 14 and i'm so bored during the summer. Everyday i'm like stuck at home and i want to get a part-time job to keep myself busy.

I live in Toronto and i'm 14 so i'm wondering what kinds of jobs can i get at this age?

(And no please don't say babysitting...mowing lawns...delivering papers or anything like that. I'm looking for real jobs like at a store or something).

  1. At this time of your age, if anything happens the employers get sued bigtimes.. especially now adays they are more restricted because of the accidental death of a 15 year old employee..

besides the options u've listed ..why dont you ask your paretns or ur relatives to help you out with it , maybe one of them would be able to help you out with it ..

otherwise i say u should wait till16... and you dont really have a choice either

  2. i only did pet-sitting when i was ur age, when u turn 15 u can legally handle cash at stores, apply at a small grocery store to get some experience

  3. I don't know if fast-food restaurants hire workers under 16. I was offered a job at McDonald's because they thought I was 16, but I was only 13 at the time and it wasn't allowed.

You can try applying at the CNE. My friend started working there when she was 14. They accept applications until the beginning of August, so hurry up!

  4. wendy's, tim horton's..

don't think mc donalds will though..
