Where in US are we making electric power from burning different kind of bio waste?

Live here in western Washington state on the Olympic peninsula, and it hurts to se all that bio waste go to landfill or get burned on logging sites

The best idea I see is the dumps are piping out methane and making electricity. That makes very good sense.
