Where in West London should I...a female...live?

Question

I currently live in Essex but would like to relocate to London in future.

I'm thinking of the area of Kensington. Either flat share or private rent. As a female I like to shop and feel safe coming home at night.

Um... Peckham is not in West London, it is in South East London.  If you want to live in West London and feel safe move to Notting Hill.

Kensington is nice, but it's not cheap.  Fulham is nice, and so is Bayswater.  I used to live there, as a female sharing a rented flat.
