I think there are two in Saratoga, Calif, downtown area, on Big Basin Way...one is Le Mere Michelle, the other is on the other side of the street, great food, nice atmosphere...

Also, In "Santana Row", in San Jose, on Winchester ave. there are -many- upscale places to dine....all are excellent..

I know they have French, Italian, and many others--

International dining of all  types and beautiful places to shop also...has a European feel.  Have Fun....

Oh, I forgot, Margiannos is wonderful too. (in Santana Row also.)

Try Chez Panisse in Berkeley, CA.

I've heard that the saffron and black truffle fois gras is great with one of their 98pt Burgundies
