Id say it depends on what you want,, personally,, I go for the quality and value of the food.  My favorite place is that new LAZIA joint on 137th and st albert trail.  amazing food, they totally dress it up and present it well.  and the dessert.... omg,, you'll love it. soo good.And its not that expensive,, under 20$ per meal  if you book ahead you can get a table upstairs,, a little more private.  OR  if privacy isnt a comcern and you want a heaping plate of amazing food.  NELLO'S  here in st. albert has the best italian food ive ever had.  it gets a little noisy and you have to take a good 2.5 - 3 hours to go eat there.

Chateau Lacombe, Downtown, just off jasper ave. on 102 or 103 st. Revolving restaurant on the roof, nice view of the downtown river valley
