  1. Higher Up!..Jacksonville

  2. No place in Florida is immune from hurricanes by any means, since no part of the state is more than 70 miles from the Gulf or Atlantic. Northeast Florida is probably least prone, due to its small target on the coast (although it can easily get hit from the back door from northeast-moving storms making landfall in the Big Bend area).

  3. I gave you a star so my sister can give you her answer.

She has survived, What 3 or 4.?while I up here in freaking IceLandcanadaslip worried myself silly.

"What do you mean you're not leaving to go to the shelter"?

    Go head She tell em.!!!

  4. umm my suggestion is not to move to florida, one day it will sink! but if you insist then try like gainsville(college town) or jacksonville( more like chicago) in the upper part of florida... but if you want beauty and history go for Saint Augustine! its awesome there

  5. Under a rock?   No place in Florida is safe from those things.  The price you pay for warm weather all the time.

  6. Jacksonville.  We haven't been hit by a hurricane since 1964,  and you're not very likely to have to deal with wildfires in the middle of the city.   Though, we did see and smell some smoke from the Georgia fires last year.

  7. To avoid (most hurricanes) it's best to live in Northern Florida ... on the Georgia Border.  But ... there are no guarantees in life.

  8. Nowhere in Florida, wildfires are mostly in the Everglades and shouldn't bother you. Its one of the prices you pay living in a sub-tropical climate. But Hurricane center in Miami has great forecasts so you can always leave in a hurry. The safest bet is the gulf of Mexico the west side.

  9. CALIFORNIA!!!!!!

  10. There's no place in Florida where you could be safe. Most hurricanes come across the whole of Florida. When it comes to fires, it is our own responsibility to be kept safe from it. Earthquakes also are prone to Florida since it has underground volcanoes, although not as dangerous as hurricanes it is still a threat. In any case you can't escape from Hurricanes so you could not think of any worst disaster to have your decision. I could say Rome is the least dangerous of all places that I've known(Most are Christians).

  11. maybe orlando...my relatives have been living there for 15+ years and haven't been threatened by these before.
