  1. If you really want something memorable, travel to San Antonio and eat at the Magic Time Machine.

  2. Check out the Red Cat Jazz Cafe. Great place to entertain and enjoy a night out.

The Museum district is so close to the zoo, you could have a day of educational fun and later do some research on the human anatomy.

  3. Patrick Swayze's house

  4. For beautiful places to eat, try:

Fogo de Chao - A Brazilian type all you can eat.  The BEST in the city.  Runs about $50/each.  It's on Westheimer near Fondren.

The Melting Pot - a delightful fondue style restaurant.  You can really spend some quality time with her during the meal which can last from 3 to 3 1/2 hours.  Cost is about $100/each.  It's also on Westheimer, closer to Hillcroft.  This is an excellent restaurant.

Mark's American Cuisine.  One of the best restaurants in the city.  It's in a converted church---very romantic setting.  You must have reservations.  It's in lower Westheimer area near Dunlavy.  About $75-100/each depending on what you order.  This is a 5 star establishment.

For very upscale Italian, try Bice in the Galleria mall.  (Pronounced Bee-shay)  Cost

is from $50-75/each.  The is a superb world-wide chain.

But, remember to think about what she likes.  There's a HUGE Texas Crawfish Boil with live music in Old Town Spring off I-45 North in Spring, Texas (just outside Houston), this weekend.  Whatever you do---have a wondferul time!

  5. to eat or dance or eat and dance and  lounge for the for the day or for vacation how old are you guys what kind of lady is she a church goer or a swinger I need more details I know tons of places

  6. If you're 19 and college students, I'm going to assume that you might be a little cash-strapped... although some of the kids I've seen do pretty well on the parental stipend.

Anyway, Fogo de Chao (as mentioned by CookingPancakes) is a good choice. It is a novel experience, on Westheimer near Fondren.

Try Magic Island on 59, which is another unique experience, and with entertainment.

If you want very good food in a rustic french atmosphere, try Bistro le Cep. I was there with my bride for her birthday dinner on Sunday. Excellent. Also on Westheimer, at Wilcrest.

Capital Grille is another great choice. Also on Westheimer in the Galleria area.

There's always the tried and true: Tony's on Richmond.

All of these place have great dining and atmosphere. Note that with this experience comes a certain... decorum. DO NOT wear shorts or flipflops. Comb your hair. You want fine dining you need to dress for it.  (Bistro le Cep is a bit more casual... slacks and a buttondown are fine, but tuck in the shirt.). You can't treat fine dining like an Applebees. At the same time, don't bling yourself out either. This is fine dining.
