Where in north ryde can I find a genuine 'self service' laundromat?

The laundromats/laundrettes around north ryde (sydney) always have the owner there and they charge me ridiculous prices. I want a laundromat like in Melbourne where I just go in, insert my coins at the advertised amount, then leave when its finished. These owners make up prices as they go. If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. thanks!
