im not interested in anything specific but would like to know my options or how to make a contact that could lead me to some sources

i am not a police officer or animal control or anything like that and in fact have little respect for law enforcement officials

  1. check kijiji.com and see if someone near you has any exotic animals for sale (lucky you live in big nyc)

  2. It is illegal to own any primates in New York City. Most serious exotics require some type of license.

It's unfortunate that you don't respect Animal Control:

They do an absolutely fantastic job of keeping irresponsible, abusive, and neglectful owners, out of this city.

  3. this is where I buy lots of my exotic animals..

  4. exotic usually refers to animals like lizards, turtles, chinchillas, etc

in which case it's very easy to find everywhere, especialy in nyc

    hedgehogs too

but if you're thinking ultra-exotic, like a pet monkey or something ridiculous like that, then NYC is too strict for you be able to acquire one
