Where in spain do most of the muslims live? Are there any large communities?

I am a muslim myself and would like to meet other muslims in spain, when i move.

  2. I think your best bet is in Andalucía, where they had the longest stronghold during their golden age, there, and along the coast up to Barcelona.  

    You can search to find active mosques...I know of one in Granada (now THAT isn't too big a surprise, is it?)

  3. I live in Andalucia and rarely see Muslims. My best choice for locating communities of Islam culture would be in the eastern part of Andalucia near Granada or southern parts near Tarifa, which has a lot of Moroccan culture introduced there.

  4. I agree with cero.  I lived in Madrid and now live in Valencia and there are large communities of muslims of various African origins in both cities - however, they live in pretty shady areas and not all of their business is above board.

    You will find western muslims too of course, same with all religions, but you probably won't find them living in ghettos.

  5. There are a lot of muslisms everywhere! No matter which city you move to.

  6. The Muslims I see are immigrants from Morocco or Senegal. I live in rural Andalucia and most people here are Roman Catholic.
