I mean, about being physically or emotionally "faithful" to one person at a time, or not breaking the "rules" about some kind of age gap, or stuff like that. I don't mean just the Bible. I mean where does it say it? Where do these ideas come from? Or are they just social conventions?

  1. Age is not a factor unless one is a minor only because they are more naive and impressionable... otherwise it is just something people individually care about.  When you are commited to someone you shouldnt cheat on them.. the Bible only says marriage, but dating is like practicing for marriage, but you shouldnt have s*x before marriage, that is in the bible... it is adulty.

  2. It is passed down from generation to generation and then added to. Society dictates what is acceptable and what isn't. They take passages from the Bible and interpret how they see fit and not what is literally being stated.

  3. It doesn't. But it says about the emotions God punished us with.

For example ...gelousy. We get jelous when the person we kiss (boyfriend/girlfriend) kisses someone else.

They're not rules. It just hurts.

Like you don't have to eat chocolate ...it just hurts if you don't ...saying that ... will easter hurry up???

  4. The bible is just a book of fiction. If you read it thoroughly you'll find many inaccuracies. If you believe in science, that is proven, you'll figure out that faithfulness isn't part of our DNA. Our goal on this earth is to pass down our genes to the next generation, no matter how many mates it takes. Natural selection, survival of the fittest, remember that from biology? That's how it's been done for millions of years, its called evolution.
