Where in the bible does it mention or show Peter being the head of the new testament church.

When Jesus said to Peter that he was the rock wasn't he referring to the answer Peter just gave about who he believed Jesus was. Peter said that he believed that Jesus was the Son of God. Then Jesus was saying that the faith in the truth was the foundation that the church was going to be built upon. If this is not true then do the people of the new testament church ever call Peter their Holy Father. Wasn't the apostles and just going around starting churches of believers in Jesus Christ.

  1. You are correct.

Jesus is the Rock.  1 Corinthians says so.  Peter is not the rock.

Peter wasn't the leader in Jerusalem.  James was.

Paul was the apostle to the Gentiles, and Peter said to listen to Paul in both Peter epistles.  Peter was an apostle, not a "pope".  There is no "pope" in the Bible.  The "pope" is a Babylonian pagan invention.
