I got a sugar sensitivity and I'm supposed to leave it out or replace it with fructose. But I can't live without chocolate, this is horrible! Any advice would be life-saving. :-)

  7. My grandad had diabetes, so he couldn't eat chocolate, so I bought him some 'diabetic chocolate' it sounds vile, but it tastes like normal chocolate, so you have nothing to worry about. I have tasted it so if your a serious chocoholic, you won't have to give it up!

You can get it from boots or thorntons, or just go to your local store and ask for diabetic chocolate.

  8. Go Online!

  9. Boots have a range of diabetic chocolate

  10. you do understand you asked this in the Beer, Wine & Spirits channel?

    anyway, any supermarket will have:

Unsweetened chocolate (baking chocolate) which you can melt and add your own artificial or fructose syrups in.

most will also have chocolate made with artificial or sugar-alcohols, just a warning, most of the sugar-alcohols: sorbitol, manitol (most anything-itol) can cause serious digestive distress if you over-indulge.

  11. Try a French delicatessen or a very large branch of a major supermarket chain. You might also be able to find it on-line.

  12. thorntons, chemist possibly, holland and barret, whoelfood shops, tesco, sainsburys, shop around.

  13. How about fruits that have natural sugars in them.  You can actually look up on the internet.  Fruits that have their own source of natural sugaars  There are also sugar free chocolates they sell in the grocery store now that are wonderful...I have bought sugarfree chocolates for my mom on valentine's day because she is diabetic.  Good luck, Sheila

  14. thorntons, boots, lots of places do them. look online

  15. You can get diabetic chocolate from Thornton's or most supermarkets, in the "Food Intolerence" aisle.  I'm not sure if it tastes as good as the real thing, but I suppose you would get used to it.
