I would love to buy a colonial style home, and I'm even willing to fix it up, but really cant afford the Million dollar price tag that comes with them. I don't think I would be happy unless I get a colonial home. Any ideas?

  1. Try Atlanta, Georgia. Priced from $190,000 to $350,000 on the average.

  2. They are all over the midwest, but one of the cheapest markets for them is Louisville, KY.  All sizes, all over.  Property tax is cheap there, too.  The further out you go from the city, the more land you get and the bigger the home.  If you go out Route 42, past Prospect, there are a lot of subdivisions as well as homes along the river and on old horse farm properties in Goshen and beyond to LaGrange.
