In my mother's mind.  It's always been about her and when it's not, then whatever is the subject at the time turns into something about her.

Well, from a medical standpoint, if the baby was endangering the mother's life, the doctors would sacrifice the baby's life before that of the mother. It's just how things are. The baby isn't married or carrying an insurance policy, so the mother comes out on top o_o
