Where in the bible does it say ghosts don't exist?

i know it's there, just where is it? what chapter? it says something about a man not being able to come back to his house after the grave... idk if i'll get any answers but if you know please tell... i just need a chapter

The bible actually says the opposite that there are ghosts. However, they are demonic and familiar spirits and not people that have died in the past and come to haunt humanity.

I don't think it does, the only thing that comes to mind is that living things are souls,and once the body dies so does the soul ;)

Hebrews 9:27

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"

That says that men ONLY die once, and then go to judgement day. They don't stay on earth, but go to the place of judgement, and then one of the two places they are bound for eternity.

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try [test] the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Basically, this is saying that you should know God's word, so you won't be decieved by psychics and ghosts, and aliens.

2 Corinthians 11:14 (KJV)

"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (15) Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."

This says, that Satan and his 1/3 of the angels, now called demons, can disguise himself into spirits that can seem helpful.

"Touch me and make sure that i am not a ghost, because ghosts don't have bodies, as you see that I do!" -Jesus

This was Jesus saying, make sure that he is REAL and not like a ghost of a fable or story.

"But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea,(F) they were terrified, and said, "It is a ghost!" and they cried out in fear."

So obviously, people believed in Ghosts back in the day. Doesn't mean they're real though.
