it freakin evaporates in to water then the water evaporates

Snow isn't white to begin with.  It only looks that way because

the ice crystals scatter the light making it LOOK white.

River water doesn't actually turn white in the rapids either.

the white is air trapped in the ice making it seem white. snow is actually clear when looked at closly so the white goes back into the air
