  1. Very, very difficult to choose, as there's so much wonder and beauty as you turn every corner and crest every hill.

I've always loved the drive southwards on the west coast from Durness; you pass all the different lochs and see some amazing views.

And crossing Applecross is a magnificent, hair-raising experience!

  2. view of all views can only be found in the arms of yr love one n mountains u will scramble xx

  3. you wont find it in the scottish highlands

  4. It is generally accepted by very many writers and seasoned visitors that the best views of highlands/lochs/isles/sea/forest are experienced on the road from the Isle of Bute, north from Colintraive, turning south to come along Loch Lomond. Depending on the mix of forest/isles/loch/mountain/sea you require there is a constantly changing mix. The little B road (with passing places) from Colintraive to Dunoon feels a bit like Switzerland or Bavaria....and simply no touring caravans, or trailers. There's a bus along this route twice a day in each direction. It leaves Rothesay on the Isle of Bute at 8.15 am

  5. Drive through the Trossachs on a lovely June morning or take the sky lift up the Cairngorms and play in the snow (even in mid-summer) then come down for a swim in the loch.

Fabulous part of the World - you just can't depend on the weather, but Pitlochry is the only place in the World where my shoulders have blistered in the sun.

  6. Possibly at the top of Ben Nevis?  Or one of the big Munroe's.  The Scottish Tourist Board should be able to help.

    Enjoy!
