  1. I've been wanting to try renting a houseboat. I hear they are lots of fun on some of the really big lakes such as Lake Tahoe. You have tons of privacy, but choose a lake that has lots of activities within walking distance of the docks. The best of both privacy and activity!

I also have enjoyed Sanibel/Captiva, Florida. Not horribly touristy yet, but nice accommodations and beautiful weather.

  2. Colorado....like a small little ski town such as Crested Butte or Breckenridge.  It's so pretty out there...no matter what time of year.

  3. Wine Country in California....or the parks in the midwest. Or Vegas......

  4. Niagara Falls (except you want to be on the Canadien side!)

lots to do, not expensive and you can walk to most attractions

i love NYC but if you dont go with some one that knows the City it can get very expensive very fast!

  5. Florida!!!

  6. umm...I would love to go to New York City, so much to do and it would be so much fun.

  7. I went to the Black Hills for my first honeymoon.  It was fun, but a little early in the season.

When I married my husband we went home, it was awesome and wouldn't trade it for the world.

I guess its not the place but the person.

However, consider the time of year you are marrying, perhaps East for Cherry Blossom, or New York for sightseeing, Statue of Liberty, theater and shopping?  Maybe West and a dude ranch experience, or go with what you two enjoy doing then head to an area that offers that activity.  I like staying in Bed and Breakfasts, perhaps you could trade off staying in Motels with pools for some of the trip?

    Most important:  Be in love.

  8. The Oregon Coast is BEAUTIFUL!!
