  1. Sorry Genealogy, your link hasn't found me in my test although i am in the normal telephone book for many years.

I have a better idea... use the official German telephone book online at

    http://www.telefonbuch.de

They also have an english version:

    http://telefonbuch.de/english.html?la=en...

That's the standard directory for Germany and regularly updated. So normally when a person wants to be in the telephone book you will find him/her there.

Because all customers have the ability to choose if they only want to be listed in the printed telephone book version... or also in the online one or assistance hotline or external ones.. it might happen that you'll find persons in the printed version but not online or the other way round. But normally when someone is in the printed version then in the online version too.

If you aren't interested in a number but the book itself then try

    http://www.telefonbuchversand.de

In Germany you can get your local book for free one time a year... or order any german phone book at this website for some EUR.

I'm not sure if they will send the books abroad but if.. you're at the right company there. Try to contact and ask them.

  2. The international phone directory is Infobel. It includes all of the German directories. http://www.infobel.be

  3. Have you check with your local library.  They sometimes have resources that can help, like ILL (Inter-Library Loan) or other reference items in larger libraries.
