I would very much like to see Marseilles, France.

I would also like to see Kyoto, Japan.

Two of my favorite books are based in these cities.  "The Count of Monte Cristo" by Alexandre Dumas; his main character Edmond Dantes was born in Marseilles.  I would like to see the city and what it is like today, as opposed to what Dumas described in the book.

And the other book was "Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Holden (I think, not sure on his first name).  The movie was pretty but had no storyline.  But the book was one of the best books I've ever read; and I'd like to see that city as well.
