I am trying to find some place to travel to in April of this year coming up for Spring break. I want to go somewhere nice, but where its also the OFF season so there won't be a whole lot of tourists traveling there at the same time.

Any suggestions?

  1. Hi! I work for a travel company, and I've found that generally, summer is the busiest time, and that season usually starts from around june to late august. However, it also depends on where you go as well - I went to Italy at the beginning of August and visited St. Peter's on a Tuesday afternoon and it was nearly dead; I was amazed at how few people there were. I wouldn't suggest heading to Europe during spring break, though - its just too few nights for the money you'll spend in airfare. I'd suggest going in may: air rates are still reasonable before they hike up, you're out of school and not smack in tourist season.

As far as trips go, if you're 18 - 26 years old you can travel with EFcollegebreak.com , they offer the cheapest trips to europe. There's a London, Amsterdam and Paris trip that lasts 10 days and starts at a price of $1375 (price includes airfare, hotels and transfers, which is an absolute steal) and heads out in may. Other trips span Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Costa Rica, Spain, and tons of other cities and all the prices include airfare, hotels, transfers between countries and certain attractions. Check out the website for a bunch of other trips.

With the manager promotion code Kyle3585 you get a guaranteed minimum of $50 deducted from your trip if you book with EF.

As for the caribbean or mediterranean, those locations are always busy, except maybe more secluded parts of Jamaica like Negril; Mexico is probably the busiest from march to december. Virgin Islands and Bahamas are very expensive all year round and you're stuck in one spot.

Sorry for giving too much info, shoot me an email at slk32@pitt.edu if you have any questions or need any more discount codes/promotions. Good luck!
