  2. actually, almost everywhere to some degree. there are no boundaries for pollution as you know.

    low, coastal areas with (or near) polluting industries tend to be affected the most but it depends much on the topography and the weather.

    just to be clear - it IS a significant problem throughout the world, many lakes in the US, europe and east asia have been polluted substantially by acid rain and there are places where whole forests died because of it.

    I lived in Knoxville, TN for 4 and half years I saw and learned about the high amount of acid rain that is detrimentally affecting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It has affected many plants, animals, the water, and the soil.
