Where is Avorare?

Question

My biology book wants me to answer this question: The country of Avorare has many starving people. Should you encourage the people to grow crops such as vegetables, wheat, and corn, or is it better to encourage them to use the land to raise cattle for beef?

Well first I want to find out about Avorare, but once I look the country up, nothing comes up. So, soembody help please...

There isn't a country known as Avorare. I am assuming this is a ficticious country, used by the book to test your abilities to  either use the information given in the book, or to test your logical thinking. The correct answer probably lies in the ability of the land to support a population that grows foodstuffs  for direct consumption, or one that is better suited to growing fodder for animals' consumption.

It is very possible the book is biased-it  is not all that unusual, especially in this age. Use any information given and back up your conclusion with solid, verifiable theories. Remember the details-such as growing vegetables, wheat, and corn may seem like the logical answer, animals are capable of consuming a greater range of plants that are more easily grown.
