  1. Susan G is correct. Béal Na Blaith is in Kilmurry and is only a mile or so from  the main Cork - Killarney road, just before Macroom if you are driving from Cork. There is a big monument there commemorating the assassination of Michael Collins. I think there is a sign showing directions to Béal Na Blaith from the road.

It's quite a distance from Clonakilty by the way... Clonakilty was Michael Collins' birthplace though, so that might be the reason for the confusion.

  2. Hello from O'Sullivans [inSyney!!]

Now, this place that yr asking about is not too far away from Clonakilty; it's about 60 kms west of Cork City. There is a very good tourist information center in Clonakilty which will be able to help you. My husband is from Cork and supplied this info. to me as I didn't know this data! We wish you well in your travels! Have a pint of guinness!!

  3. Beal na Blath, or Béal na Bláth, is on the southern edge of Kilmurry Parish. Kilmurry Parish is on the edge of the commuter-belt for

Cork City (25 Km). You can see a map with Beal na Blath's location at this web site http://homepage.eircom.net/~kilmurryonli...
