I would think that he would have indorsed McCain by now. Is he another trick McCain is holding back on? Will he stand beside his fellow veteran and tell us how safe we will be by voting for McCain?

  1. Powell and Rice are assisting Obama.

  2. Powell, I believe, support Obama

  3. He might have become Republican 'liberman'

  4. Powell has already said that he disagrees with his party and Bush on the war.  McCain is Bush's twin, so Powell has hinted that he will vote for Obama.

  5. Well, I don't think Powell is probably all that happy with the Republican party.  Bush basically fired Powell.  And from what I've read, Powell didn't agree with the rest of the Bush Administration on a lot of things.  One book I read stated that Powell and Rumsfeld had one heck of an argument after the whole Abu Graeb pictures.  Rumsfeld withheld the pictures and thought they wouldn't matter.  Then when they were leaked it all blew up.  The book stated that Powell was a very quiet guy and for him to blow up like that where you could hear several doors down was extremely out of character.  Plus Bush often left Powell out of a number of important meetings purposefully.

You also have to remember that McCain is trying to distance himself from the Bush Administration.  So he probably doesn't want anyone from the Bush Administration saying what a great guy he is.  McCain can't afford to get Bush's ratings before the election.

  6. He's quietly supporting Obama.
