Where is Mako island located in Australia? What part? And is there REALLY a Mako island?

I am getting mixed answers about whether the island is real or not. I really want to know if it is real or not, and I want to know EXCACTLY where it is located if it is real. Thank you!

We don't have an island called Mako Island.

It's a fictitious island. All of the h20 filming is done at Sea World on the Gold Coast (Queensland - Australia) and on the Southport Broadwater nearby.
