Mohidin Shaari

Mohidin Shaari was a businessman running his own family business. He was arrested under the ISA on 19 December 2002 at his house in Sandakan. The police searched his house for about 3 hours and took away some Islamic books, business documents and 2 set of his mobile phones.

Mohidin’s wife was able to visit Mohidin after about one month of his arrest. Mohidin was then sent to Kamunting Detention Camp on 5 February 2003 after his detention order was extended.

Mohidin alleged that he was striped naked. He was beaten, kicked and verbally abused by the interrogators when he was naked.
