(very small peninsula in Northeast Egypt, near the border with  Isreal.)

BUT you were close! it's very close to Saudi Arabia too.

I opened up my google earth and went into layers and clicked off landforms etc. then went to search and typed in 'Mount Sinai, Egypt' and it came up as well. Not any different from the satellite image from the site above.
