Where is Palmas De Cortez? What is there to do near there?

Just found out that we fly into Cabo San LUcas but are actually staying in Los Barillos (sp?) at the Palmas de Cortez. What is the hotel like? Is it kid friendly? Does anyone know anything about this area .....is there transportation available to Cabo? How long will it take to get to Cabo from this hotel? Any info would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hola!  Wow....how in the world did you get booked for there?  Talk about isolated.  And quite a way to the town of San Jose del Cabo (which is where you will be flying into.  Cabo San Lucas is another 20 minutes west.)  Like BlueCabo said, hope you like fishing!

Palmas de Cortez is a small and isolated hotel in Los Barriles, about 45 minutes North from San Jose del Cabo and 75 minutes from Cabo San Lucas.

Never stayed there, but I heard good comments.

It is specialized in deep sea fishing. It's a great place, and people return every year.

Unfortunately, if you don't like fishing, it's not much to do there.

The beach is good for kids, since is not waves at all. Is a great opportunity to enjoy the family, and do nothing but fishing.
