Where is Rajon ROndo rated in PG's in NBA?

me personally woudl say Chris paul, , Deron williams, Tony parker, are the only 3 better then him i can still see someone sayin Nash but he doesnt play D. im prob. missing a guy too, and i dotn consider Baron Davis a true PG

This is tough since Rondo has never been a starter without so many stars. Last year West and Telfair occupied most of the pg minutes I think. Rondo has good pure point guard traits like offensive command, ball handling, and defense. He still needs to work on his shooting consistantcy, but I've seen improvement in that area in the later half of the past season. He's definately improved over his fellow sophmore Daniel Gibson. He's one of the top pure point guards (excluding scorers), but if you factor in the scoring abilities, then he's only top 20-40 pgs in the game.  

to the first and the third posters, you know nothing about Rondo. The Celtics got Eddie House to back up Rondo and they got Cassell for playoff experience (also House isn't a pg like guard). Cassell was also there to help Rondo with his shooting and give tips on being a point guard. Rondo may not be an all star in the future(although I hope he'll be), but he will be a role starter.

Rondo is at the bottom of the list. Even Ben Wallace and Shaq is above Rondo in the PG category and they are center. Rondo is trash, get that through your head kid. He could never be a Allstar and he could never be reconized. He is so wack, why you think the Celtics got Sam Cassel Eddie House, so that wuss doesn't play. RONDO IS WACK

Rajon is still learning the game and already has a championship to his name. I have to rate him as a top 10/top 15 player. The reason I would rate him high is because A) he has a ring already in his sophomore year B) He distributed the ball well, keeping THREE superstars happy in the process and C) He is a capable and athletic when driving. Baron is a PG to me, he had extremely similar stats to CP3 this year, and will definitely add bite to the Clippers with Camby next season.

I think Rondo would be a top-20 PG....He sometimes is a little erratic with the basketball.

ex-he does the fake behind the back pass-shoot a lay-up thing that drives coaches crazy.

dude he is a good runner and thats it he cant shoot and he is very overrated he is probabley in the top 90 or 100 but no even close to top ten

I would put Rajon Rondo in the top 20. He is a great player; but I wouldn't put him in the top 10 and DEFINITELY not the top 5. Even though I think he's good, I really believe he's playing so very well right now because of KG, Pierce, and Allen.  If you put him on another team or take the big 3 away, he wouldn't be as good as he was this past year.

Heck, a lot of the players in the NBA would put up great numbers when they're always facing one player if any at all due to the attention that the big 3 gets. There are many time when he is left unguarded or passively guarded with the focus on the big 3.
