Where is Shannon Matthews being looked after?

Would she be with a foster family, in a nice family environment, or somewhere much more impersonal. Just wondering, as it all seems a bit of a mystery especially up to a week after turning up.

I think she is with specially selected foster parents - I agree its a bit of a mystery especially as a report says she may be asked if she wants to return home

She will be with a foster family - most likely one that is more experienced then normal and probably where she is the only child.  Some foster carers are given extra training so that they can support children with special needs.

She won't be in a children's home as they wont want her exposed to other children who may tell school friends where she is but also she needs to feel safe with secure adults.

The foster family will be having daily visits from police and social care and the foster family will have to be careful that they are not interfering with the evidence gathering that the police are going through but will be having to take note of all that Shannon says in case it is useful to police and social care.

It is very unusual that Shannon has not been returned home yet - i have worked in family support for many years and the police and social care must be suspicious that something dodgy is going on to limit shannons access to her family.

I would imagine she would be with a foster family, as she is much less likely to be tracked down by the press. (though I think even the hounding press would respect her privacy).

Only a guess though.

The police and social services have put her into temporarily care. She is staying with a foster family, until she decides where she wants to live.

I think she was taken .for family reasons .Abuse does not seem to have had any part. clearly the police dont think she is ok at home? I am suprised the newspapers apologised about Maddy,when they are Port. suspects,and they left them alone
