Where is South Ossetia?

If you are unfamiliar with Eastern Europe, the current South Ossetia conflict might be confusing.  However, Russia has not attacked the United States, but the former Soviet Socialist Republic of Georgia. Georgia (the country) is located between the Black and Caspian Seas, south of Russia and north of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey. South Ossetia is located on Georgia's border with Russia in the northeastern/north-central part of the country.

South Ossetia is along the northern border of Georgia. Georgia is along the Southern border of Russia on the east side of the Black Sea. I think that it would be considered Eurasia.

South Ossetia is in Georgia. Not Georgia that is one of 50 states but Georgia that is in Europe.
