Where is a cafe that is kid friendly? (new york)?

is there a place where kids are allowed, they can play - while the working mom's can get some work done?

I am not sure but,I went to restaurant yesterday the couple beside me was complaing over the couple next to us kids yelling screaming and throwing fits.lol

There needs to be specific restaurants that are kid friendly wher kids can play and parents can relax without having to chase them down.I think this is why Mcdonalds is such a hit but no ones caught on..I see tons of parents lock them in the inside playroom and parent sits to do work.Although I hate Mcdonalds.
