Where is a fuel filter?

i have a 86 Toyota truck where would I find the fuel filter on it

on a toyota some times it is in the engine bay bolted to the fire wall or strut tower and some times it is on the frame next to the transmission.

buy one first.... if im thinking right it will be inline... so some where under the truck most offen the right side up inside the frame rail

I believe its on the fuel line between the engine and the tank.

on fuel line by gas tank

It would be under the truck near the fuel tank.
