Where is a good 'salary finder' website for Australia?

For instance, where can I find the average salary for Registered Nurse, HVAC / Refrigeration mechanic, teacher and the like?

Each state has their own awards and pay rates. But in the instance of a RN they can be covered by several awards.

Bigger companies such as Woolworths have their own AWA's which are very hard to track down rates, some other big companies can be under a Federal award, also not so easy to find.

If you google "Award wages in (state)" you should find the other states as well.

This is all about to change over the new few yrs with the Rudd Government making big changes to awards and bringing everything to a Federal level.

SEEK.com.au is Australia's largest jobs website. You can search for similar jobs in different cities and see what salary they are offering, and what experience and qualification is necessary.They also have a Salary Centre with benchmarks.

Recruitment agencies advertise on seek.com.au too, so perhaps contact some of them and see what opportunities might be available to you.

Note that Australia has a shortage of nurses and skilled tradespeople and they are in high demand.
