There are a multitude of boarding schools in India.  It depends what kind you are looking for.  I went to a boarding school in India.

There are some elite ones, international ones, all girls, all boys, christian ones,....so on.  

A few examples are:

International : Woodstock, Kodacanal (spelling?!)

Girls:  Welhams

Boys: Doon, Sherwood

Christian: Saint Mary's

Unisex: Sanawar, Lovedale (Lawrence Schools)

I look back and think I am fortunate to have had such a experience in my life.  I have come out more exposed and experienced.  I would never take anything away from it if I had to go through the whole thing again.
