I am looking for a great spot to get married in Mexico, on the beach. It is just the two of us so no big place needed. We are on a budget but I dont want to give up beauty or quality so I will pay top amount if needed. Some of the things we are looking for............

1. a good nightlife but we don't want to be around too many crazy tourists or teens (we are in our late 20's) still we dont want to be somewhere that is dead either.

2. I want to be close to some good shopping.

3. I would like to stay in a place where i can have a spa treatment if i want or at least be close to a spa.

4. I must stay at a place that is on the beach.

5. I would prefer a place that serves dinner on the beach.

6. It would be great to be smewhere where here is lots to do or near cultural attractions (but not to necesary)

NO TACKY HOTELS WITH CRAZY GROSS 70'S STYLE BEADSPREADS I would prefer a place with style and class.

Thanks

  1. Without a doubt Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Great night life, (Sammy Hagars CaboWabo Cantina if you like classic rock and roll), terrific food, unbelievable fishing, to many activities to list. People are outgoing and fun no worries about crime.

    Pueblo Bonito Blanco hotel.

Above the average price but well worth it by far. Great beach, very comfortable, clean rooms, terrific service, beautiful view! They do dinners on the beach, have a small spa. classy and no loud crazy parties. The grounds are spotless! The one neg is Internet does not work in the rooms but they do have a computer room in the lobby with machines you can use. There is a modern mall/cinema close by, but the best shopping is in town, check out the Mexican fire opals and black pearls). We rented a car drove to/from the airport with no problems. Buy your tequila and souvenirs in town as the airport duty free shop really is no savings. We booked through travelocity and saved over individually purchasing airfare, hotel etc.

Our pictures could be in any travel brochure. We didn't want to leave and for sure will go back!

  2. I got married in May of 07 at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya, and would not have changed a thing.  We had about 40 guests, noone seemed to be too crowded, we were w/in nearly walking distance to Playa del Carmen, and a ferry ride to Cozumel.   My wife and I stayed at the RPRM for 5 nts and then did our honeymoon at the El Dorado Seaside Suites.  Most of our guests made long weekend out of our Saturday ceremony and did 3 nts/4 days.

  3. puerto vallarta

  4. Hi there. Try http://www.beachwedding-guide.com/beach-... for some ideas on great places with all your requirements in Mexico.

  5. Hola!  Cabo is becoming the new mecca for marriages and honeymoons.  Can I recommend the Marquis resort?  Have a look at their website.  I have heard from alot of couples lately about how wonderful their vows were on the beach and how the resort did such a nice job.   This place ticks off all your criteria -- the other places might be missing one or two.

If you are thinking more budget minded, almost all the resorts have a wedding package, but of course there are also the wedding planners in town (last count 30 of them!)  They can get all those little details you can't.

  6. Cancun

  7. Definitely NOT Cancun. It is very touristy and crowded.

Try looking up the area around Tulum. It has georgous beaches and great ruins. I don't know about the accomodations. But it is not quite as "done" as a lot of places

    on the Yucatan Peninsula.

  8. Moon Palace in cancun. I've been down there twice. It's amazing at that place.

  9. Acapulco has some great night clubs and beautiful hotels (check out the Princess). Manzanillo and Puerto Vallarta are more upscle, with lots of beautiful hotels. All of those places have decent shopping. If you're looking to get off the beaten path, Puerto Escondido or Huatulco in Oaxaca are beautiful, but not sure they're up to your shopping needs. On the East coast, try the resorts south of Cancun (Cancun itself is too touristy), like Playa del Carmen (look up hotels near Tulum - gorgeous Mayan ruins on the ocean). The resorts in and around Playa del Carmen are beautiful.
