Where is a good location to mount a car amp ?

i had BestBuy install my Alpine 800W amp in the back seat & it fell apart after 4 months. is there a better way to mount the amp in the truck without spending alot ? i was thinking putting the amp under the passenger seat not sure if thats a good spot. need some advice New York, NY.

Under a seat is fine...If you can mount it on your back seat thats what worked best for me...you just have to s***w it into the metal backing make sure its not in the foam...

just mount it to the back of the subwoofer box. thats the easiest. and that way it can get more air cause when running a high powered sub system your amp will get hot and in a well circulated area your amp will be able to play longer

That install should be guaranteed by Best Buy so take it back to them and have them redo it.  Just think about the money you spent already on the install and it's messed up to think you should have to spend more to fix what they did wrong in the first place.  If it's worth your time, have them redo it and spend nothing.

take it back to bestbuy and demand them to repair their mess.

or you can mount it in any place where people wont be kicking it or accidentally push the amp. this truly depends on the exact vehicle been used. but as a notice, do not mount the amp on the subwoofer box.

i dont see why people do it. all the vibrations from the subwoofer will go directly into the amp. and soon, the amp will have internal damage and can create a short.
