The above links should give you more info on pubs/clubs etc. Hope you have a great time in Glasgow!

  4. Have a look at this Top Ten Glasgow Music Venues link below.  I'd suggest that you just choose the venue that suits you most, and head there no matter who's playing.

    Best,

    Scott

  5. the barra's, the arches, or the carling academy for gigs. ooh or king tuts

  6. I've known a few electronica type bands playing at Rockers, and some of the good venues I know are:

    Glasgow ABC

    The Garage

    Cathouse

    Carling Academy

    SECC

Heard 'The Tunnels' good, never been

    Nice n Sleazy's

I think the last two are pretty small though

Also the Soundhaus is good but its in a crappy area so I'd make sure you have a car to get you right into the car park and right out again...seriously you don't want to be in Anderston at night, lol, although you could say that about most of Glasgow

Hope you find something, just go on ticketmaster.co.uk and look them up to find gigs :)

    x*x

  7. Check out Blok/ capitol/ box/ pivo pivo/ the arches/ subclub/ mono/ 13th note

  8. Amazed noone's mentioned the legendary King Tut's, where Oasis were first discovered?

That's quite an intimate venue, if you're looking for something bigger, try the ABC, the Arches, Glasgow Carling, the Barrowlands, or the SECC / Clyde Auditorium.

Other intimate venues in the area include Stereo, Mono, Capitol, Oran Mor, Barfly, Liquid Room,  The Sub Club, the CCA... there are loads, the list is almost endless.

(AND, I don't know whether you're a student or not, but check out Glasgow Union, the QMU, and Strathclyde Union, because they sometimes can have some really good gigs on too.)

Most of the tickets for these things go on sale through Ticket Scotland anyway, so have a look for a band you fancy and chances are the venue will be one of these!

  9. arches, abc, etc,i am more an edinburgh girl though!
