it definitely depends on the girl..  some are picky eaters, some like sporting events, some prefer quiet environments and some are party girls..

ask if they like to try new things, if so try taking them somewhere not typical like Thai food or the driving range to hit some balls

ask what they are into, maybe they like the local baseball team or are into amusement parks..

this time of year I think a carnival is a fun first date..  even if you walk around there for a little while and then go to sit down and eat or sit down for coffee elsewhere..

in my opinion, a good first date would be somewhere we could have fun. dont be too romantic at first, just try to get to know each other better.be creative, and just remember you dont have to spend too much money.

ideas: the beach,go bowling,put put golf,the park(play frisbee or football)
