What is a relaxed town in Italy I can buy an old ruined house? I like hilly places with cobbled streets and old buildings. Like breezy weather and prefer it not to be too hot to cycle. Looking for Malibu / Manhattan beach (20 years ago) type place with girls, no police sirens and reasonable property prices. If it is within 3.5 hours by train to a major city that would be better as this is a permanent move and I work as an Oracle contractor.

  2. I have just the right place for you , small town, s. Italy , cheap house but spacious , no taxes ,very quiet ,12km to best beach (TROPEA), plenty of hills, 20min. to train ,40min. to airport and you can buy everything on your door . but the best of all you can live here all expenses paid for under $800 monthly purchase price of home is equivalent to  if went to buy a new caddy.

  3. In sicily, you can have sea, history and moreover!

  4. I'd look into the Marche region or maybe Umbria. they are quite close to Rome and they are not as expensive a s Tuscany. And they are BEAUTIFUL!!

  5. The best place is Tuscany: Siena and his surroundings. It is very quiet and has nice landscapes.
