Question:

Where is a good place to buy a second hand Viola in Brisbane Australia?

I am after one for a 11 year old who's preparing for her grade 4 AMBE. She want a deep one and can have a 15 or 15.5 inch.

  1. If you can't find it thru Animato (Red Hill)  then I would suggest searching the globe at large! Otherwise, check with Manricks Music in West End/Sth Bris...their son travels the world playing Jazz sax/arranging etc but you never know, they might be able to find sthg decent in NY, or Amsterdam etc if the "feelers" are out!

    If you want a good viola for playing in general, why not ask your old teacher! If you want something of historical significance, then you may as well approach the 'old school' houses of Italy and/or 'old' (but still current) manufacturers of violins/violas etc in Europe (or Australia).

    There's a guy in Strathfield?, Sydney; who I think could help you - will have to ask 'string-friend' for details if you don't find anyone in Bris-Vegas.
