  1. actionvillage.com

  2. Buy online, walmart or target will sell bad guns that will break, a good beginner gun would be a tippmann 98 custom, there easy to use, impossible to break, and reliable.

  3. do not go to walmart or target for your stuff. beware! i am an intermediate player. the 98 custom often found at walmart is still a 98, but it's usualy the old model. the new model has A.C.T. that resists chopping. no, are you sure you want to get into it, It is more expensive that most would think. look in the phone book and yellowpages.com for local paintball shops. Also, look out for that cheap crappy paint at walmart, paint is half of your performance. you should not be spending $40 bucks for a case (2000 balls) I usualy spend about $57 after tax for decent paint.  do you like woods ball or speed ball. i am into woods ball and  I swear by the tippman name. I have an A-5 with a 12 Inch thunder pig barrel, an expantion chamber, and a response trigger. now... if you want to look into tippman, your first investments should be a longer barrel and an expantion chamber(tippmans are cannons) beware of barrels over 14 inches and ones with holes down the sides, mine does not have any holes till the very end. if you use a barrel thats too long and has holes in the side, it is only going to propell the ball to the begining of the holes and the extra length is just going to get in your way. also, you may notice that tippmans are balanced to the handle with a full hopper and a full 20oz tank, so stick with 20oz and watch out for drop forwards, I don't like them at all. get a little tool kit and get used to taking your gun appart and cleaning it and oiling it, I have never seen a tippman jam up because of lack of cleaning and oiling, but I still do it all the time just the same, (clean guns just work better and last longer) i use Hopps #9 oil and swear by it. look out for stupid little upgrades that go inside the gun(power tubes and such) the are never needed and can cause more harm than good. try a sporting goods store or online for the gun and upgrades, and stay away from cheap paint and you should be fine on your gun. now for your outfit, I live in western PA and we can have some thick woods. I wear boots, long (thin fabric) camo pants and shirt(paint and thorns hurt on bare skin) and a leather glove on my left hand ( I get hit there often) chest pads and neck protectors make you hot and get in the way, man up and you will be better off without them(just keep yourself sideways when you shoot and keep your chin tucked down) I installed a fan on my mask and absolutly love it. it blowes air directly on the inside of the lens to prevent foging so my single lens outpaces any other themal double lens.(it's homemade)

now be sure you want to get into this, it is expensive, but man it may be the most fun I've ever had.

  4. Ebay is an excellent place to buy.

If your playing Speedball, I suggest an ion.

An ion will need an HPA tank and they can be found inexpensively on Ebay too.

If your playing woodsball, I suggest a Tippmann 98 Custom or A5.

Tippmanns can use Co2 or HPA.  Co2 tanks cost alot less than HPA tanks and give more shots per volume.
