Do you mean Placitas on I-25 near Bernalillo?   If so make the trip into Albuquerque where you'll find Gruet's (upscale), The Pelican (decent fish, so-so steaks), The Elephant Bar (I know it has Elephant in the name--good ribs), Mykonos (very good Greek food) as well as chains like Olive Garden and Carrabas (Italian), Steak & Ale, Texas Roadhouse  Texas Land & Cattle, and Rio Charma (steaks) ,Bennigan's, TGI Friday's, etc.

Or you can head north to Santa Fe, but fewer choices and pricier--SantaCafe, El Dorodo & La Fonda restaurants, El Farol (great tapas), Tomasitas, Geranomo(? sp).
