Where is a good place to download music free and legally

Rhapsody has different accounts according to your preference. You can buy songs instead of buying the album in most cases. They also give you 25 plays reset every month to listen to new and old songs.When the 25 plays are used up you can still listen to a portion of the song to see if you like it or not.  If you are on a tight budget this is your best choice.

Itunes provides songs and music videos for purchase but you can also listen to unlimited different radio stations according to your preference for free.:)

purevolume sometimes has free downloads that bands have put there themselves. mostly it will just be one or two songs, but sometimes you can find a whole album. you will have more luck finding music from smaller bands than from more popular ones.

if you have itunes you can download free music videos off of google video and translate them into mp3's it's free and legal.

Nothing is free and legal.... Itunes is the best and safest place to download music. They do have some podcasts for free but it is not music and you must have a video Ipod.
