There are alot of fast-food, chain-style restaurants in Carlsbad. However, if your not into a fast-food joint might i recommend Red Chimney Pit Barbeque. Obviously the main fare is barbecue dishes such as pork and chicken that all come with the usual side, baked potato, cole slaw, etc. What is amazing is how they take these simple traditional meals and perfect them with amazing barbecue sauce and excellent customer service. It's located at 817 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220. But be warned, like most places in Carlsbad, its closed Saturdays and Sundays.
